“Ann Crook Elected President of New York Aviation Management Association”

ALBANY, NY (09/27/2012)- Ann B. Crook, AAE, Director of Aviation at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport, was elected president of The New York Aviation Management Association on Thursday, September 20, during NYAMA's annual Business Meeting-an integral part of its Fall Conference and Exhibit Show that took place in Niagara Falls last week. Ms. Crook has previously served as NYAMA's Vice President, and brings 22 years of aviation management experience to the Association.

Thursday's Business Meeting also hosted elections for NYAMA's Board of Directors and elected new officers for the Association: Christina Reale, Commissioner of Syracuse Hancock International Airport, Vice President; William McShane, Vice President, Sheltair Aviation, Treasurer; Edward Mullins, Airline Business Development, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Secretary; and Chad Nixon, Senior Vice President, McFarland Johnson, Inc., Past President.

"We are ready to address the challenges that lay ahead for New York's aviation industry in the coming year," said Ms. Crook. "NYAMA's mission of promoting economic growth through airports and advancing our state's aviation industry will be assisted by real-time communication about pertinent industry news to our membership, continued advocacy efforts with our State and Federal legislators, and outreach efforts to everyone involved with New York aviation."


NYAMA was founded in 1976 as the New York Airport Managers Association by representatives of New York State Airports. In 2000, the Association changed its name to the New York Aviation Management Association to reflect is growing sphere of influence and representation. Today, NYAMA represents the spectrum of aviation professionals from the owners of the smallest privately owned airstrips to the management of New York's largest facilities serving millions of scheduled air carrier passengers annually, as well as private manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, and educators who serve the aviation industry in New York state and across the Globe.
