Chemung County - With the start-up of classes at Corning Community College (CCC) on Monday, August 29th, Chemung County Transit will restart the express service runs to Corning. The Elmira Corning Route # 20 has express runs that will leave the Chemung County Transportation Center at 7:30 am arriving at the campus at 8:10 am. In the afternoon the bus will leave the Transportation Center at 1:30 pm and depart the CCC campus at 2:35 pm.

In an effort to provide a smoother transfer for students coming from the Wellsburg and Waverly areas, Transit will move up the morning departure of the first run on the Wellsburg-Waverly Route #10 to 5:55 am.

The express service runs follow CCC’s schedule with no service runs when the college is not in session:

October 10 & 11
November 23-25
December 19 – January 20
February 20-21
April 9-13
May 14 – August 24

Students using Chemung County Transit for transportation from Elmira and Horseheads to CCC are encouraged to purchase a semester pass at the college bookstore for $180. Questions about the service may be directed to Chemung County Transit at (607) 734-5211.
