Sheriff’s Office Continues Investigations of Car Break-ins

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into several vehicle break-ins that have occurred throughout Chemung County and most recently in the Town of Southport and Webbs Mills area; specifically the areas between the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department and the Webbs Mills Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Sagetown Road area.

The Sheriff’s Office wants to remind everybody to please be vigilant in keeping all vehicles locked, the windows up, as well as sunroofs closed and secured. Also remember not to leave any valuable items in your vehicles. It is also important to remember to keep garages, sheds and other outbuildings secured at all times, as well as doors and windows in your home.
