Chemung County Presents Age-Friendly Business & Organization Designation Awards

Big Flats- The Chemung County Department of Aging and Long Term Care presented the Chemung County Age-Friendly awards yesterday to 12 area businesses and organizations at their Annual Public Hearing and Falls Prevention Awareness Event which was held at the Big Flats Community Center.
Age-Friendly Chemung County is a coalition-backed initiative that promotes healthy and active living for people of all ages. The program aims to identify and recognize businesses and organizations that provide easy-to-navigate, respectful and effective services to people of all ages in our community.

Age-Friendly Organization Designation Award Winners
Presentation of these awards followed a pilot completed earlier this year and begins the county-wide launch of the Chemung County Age-Friendly Business and Organization Designation program. Achievement of Age-Friendly Designation is recognized by a certificate, decals for marketing purposes, and promotion on the Age-Friendly Chemung County website and Facebook page.
All interested Chemung County businesses and organizations are invited to apply for Age-Friendly Designation status.
